Last Days

2 Timothy 3 KJV 1900
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was. But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Speak of current events.
Tell of meditation and prayer about what is the message of the day.
Conclusion many will be deceived thus.
Matthew 7:21–23 KJV 1900
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

What did Jesus mean “I never knew you”?

KNEW gr. Ginosko indicates a personal and intimate knowledge.
When we face Christ in the end one of two responses will greet us at that fateful moment.
Well done my good and faithful servant (Matt 25:21) “His master said to him, ‘Well done, you good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things. I will make you ruler over many things. Enter the joy of your master.’
Away from me you worker of iniquity I knew you not. (Matt 7:23) But then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you. Depart from Me, you who practice evil.

Nominalism won’t suffice

Identifying ourselves as Christians or members of an organization or sect will not pay the price of admission to eternity in heaven with our Savior.
We must be identified by Christ as one of His. We cannot self identify as a Christian.
2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV 1900
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
John 14:23 KJV 1900
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Nominalism can be caused by
a legalistic lifestyle, one where a person strives to change the outward appearance expecting those changes to affect who the inward man is.
A desire to take the easy way out be a Christian in name only pacifying our fleshly desires by easing our conscience with a lie.
2 Thessalonians 2:7–12 TPT
For the mystery of lawlessness is already active, but the one who prevails will do so until he is separated from out of the midst. Then the “outlaw” will be openly revealed, and the Lord will overthrow him by the breath of his mouth and bring him to an end by the dazzling manifestation of his presence. The presence of the “outlaw” is apparent by the activity of Satan, who uses all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs, spurious wonders, and every form of evil deception in order to deceive those who are perishing because they rejected the love of the truth that would lead them to being saved. Because of this, God sends them a powerful delusion that leads them to believe what is false. So then all who found their pleasure in unrighteousness and did not believe the truth will be judged.

The Human Will

“A man changed against his will is of the same persuasion still”
True salvation happens when a holy God meets a broken sinner at a bloody altar.
We must believe on Him (Jesus Christ) to be saved.
John 6:28–29 KJV 1900
Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
1 John 3:23 KJV 1900
And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
Ephesians 2:10 KJV 1900
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Mark 3:34–35 TPT
Then looking in the eyes of those who were sitting in a circle around him, he said, “Here are my true family members. For whoever does the will of God is my brother, my sister, and my mother!”
Ephesians 3:14–19 TPT
So I kneel humbly in awe before the Father of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, the perfect Father of every father and child in heaven and on the earth. And I pray that he would unveil within you the unlimited riches of his glory and favor until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with his divine might and explosive power. Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of his love will become the very source and root of your life. Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences—the great magnitude of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is his love! How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God!

To Be Known by Knowing

1 Corinthians 8:3 MEV
But if anyone loves God, this one is known by Him.
Galatians 4:9 MEV
But now, after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how do you turn again to the weak and beggarly elemental forces to which you desire again to be in bondage?

The Good Shepherd

Isaiah 40:11 The Message
Like a shepherd, he will care for his flock, gathering the lambs in his arms, Hugging them as he carries them, leading the nursing ewes to good pasture.
John 10:14 TPT
“I alone am the Good Shepherd, and I know those whose hearts are mine, for they recognize me and know me,

Omniscience

1 Samuel 16:7 YLT
And Jehovah saith unto Samuel, ‘Look not unto his appearance, and unto the height of his stature, for I have rejected him; for it is not as man seeth—for man looketh at the eyes, and Jehovah looketh at the heart.’
Isaiah 29:13 EB:IETMT
Therefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

What Type of Fruit Do You Bare

Revelation 22:15 The Message
But outside for good are the filthy curs: sorcerers, fornicators, murderers, idolaters—all who love and live lies.
Matthew 8:12 The Message
Then those who grew up ‘in the faith’ but had no faith will find themselves out in the cold, outsiders to grace and wondering what happened.”
Galatians 5:22–23 TPT
But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions: joy that overflows, peace that subdues, patience that endures, kindness in action, a life full of virtue, faith that prevails, gentleness of heart, and strength of spirit. Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless.
Galatians 5:19–21 TPT
The cravings of the self-life are obvious: Sexual immorality, lustful thoughts, pornography, chasing after things instead of God, manipulating others, hatred of those who get in your way, senseless arguments, resentment when others are favored, temper tantrums, angry quarrels, only thinking of yourself, being in love with your own opinions, being envious of the blessings of others, murder, uncontrolled addictions, wild parties, and all other similar behavior. Haven’t I already warned you that those who use their “freedom” for these things will not inherit the kingdom realm of God!

Hell was not made for man

2 Peter 3:9 KJV 1900
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2 Corinthians 4:4 KJV 1900
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
John 3:19 KJV 1900
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Galatians 2:16 KJV 1900
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Their claim to Salvation by listing the works they had done in Christ’s name, they failed to do the only work that counts: “to have faith in the one he sent”
John 6:29 TPT
Jesus answered, “The work you can do for God starts with believing in the One he has sent.”

Judgement Sealed

Jesus the Righteous Judge, rejects their claim and their life condemns them to eternal separation from him; the only one who could save them.

Surrender

We must come to a place of Surrender this song by Kim Walker-Smith says it simply.
There is no love
Sweeter than the love You pour on me
There is no song
Sweeter than the song You sing to me
There is no place that I would rather be
Than here at You feet, laying down everything
Chorus
All to You, I surrender
Everything, every part of me
All to You, I surrender
All of my dreams, all of me
I surrender
Verse 2
If worship's like perfume
I'll pour mine out on You
For there is none deserving of my love like You
So take my hand and draw me into You
I want to be swept away, lost in love for You
Bridge
No turning back, I've made up my mind
I'm giving all of my life this time
Outro
Your love makes it worth it
Your love makes it worth it all
